The DBAL has a lot of things going for it. It is slightly shorter than the PEQ lengthwise. It has finger adjustable zeroing knobs with guards to prevent accidental loss of zero. The controls are on the back of the sight making them easier to manipulate with your firing thumb. The rubber caps are easy to flip out of the way when the sight is going to be used and they seem to hold up decently.

Description Available to U. The The co-aligned infrared and visible aiming lasers are easily adjustable; making for a simple zero procedure zero one, and the other moves with it. The exceptional functionality of this unit gives you everything you could want in a single compact package.
Its design seats the unit low on the rail, and wraps around the Picatinny for a snag-resistant, low profile.
This is accomplished by utilizing a recessed rail-grabber mount. The recessed controls are located on top of the housing for easy access in the field with gloves. The material takes a lot of weight out of the unit, which is appreciated during long hours of carrying a rifle. The battery cap is spring loaded, allowing for the system to absorb more recoil from automatic weapons. A molded-in lanyard loop rounds out the back.
Windage and Elevation for the aiming lasers is controlled by easily accessible knobs for quick adjustment in the field. Adjustment for the Illuminator is done with tiny flat head screws that require a tool. This is because the illuminator does not need to be adjusted in the field as much as the aiming lasers. The higher power visible laser provides much better performance under direct sunlight.
The higher power infrared illuminator allows users to reach out to much greater distances, using the illuminator as a pointer. IR Lasers are restricted to Law Enforcement and Government sales only and cannot be sold to civilians.

The visible laser is slaved with the IR laser pointer, meaning a zero with one, insures the same zero with the other. This is extremely advantageous because you can positively zero or check your zero during the day using a simple boresight technique.
