The infra red collar tag is much easier for the door to detect, this along with the capability of adjusting the timed lock allows the lock to react quickly to keep other cats in or to react slower to allow more time for older cats to approach the cat door before it re-locks. The series cat flap is designed to be mounted in doors or walls when used with the accessory 2" tunnel extensions. Important Note: this door regulates pets entering the house only, not from inside the house outside.

Step 4 Approach the flap of your door with the collar key. The red LED will stop flashing and the unit will emit a high pitched beep. You cat flap is now programmed to recognize the collar key.

Step 2 Insert the upper plug into the top two pronged receptacle. Route the wire so that it will not interfere with the reassembly of the pet door. Step 4 Snap the two halves of the pet door back together. Replace the four way locking knob. Step 5 Tighten the nut to the plug receptacle a second time. Step 6 Plug the AC adapter into the bottom of your pet door and into a wall outlet.
